Pantiero Elektro Festival in Cannes
Auf dem Dach des Palais des Festival findet auch dieses Jahr das Pantiero Festival statt. Der Veranstalter meint:
More electric than ever, the 8th Pantiero Festival is considered as magnificently auspicious. New discoveries and old hands will once again feature on the program of an event whose fame continues to grow, even beyond our borders.Pantiero has built the reputation of a pioneering Festival, offering a rich, eclectic and innovative program. The 2009 festival will pay tribute to this reputation with both rare and precious artists such as the cult New York group ESG and its riotous punk funk, the little rap princess Lady Sovereign, the highly enigmatic Mr Oizo (only date in France this summer!), Fujiya & Miyagi, champions of the disco-kraut, the future superstar Ebony Bones and her incredible show or even Stuck In The Sound, the number 1 French Indy rock band.
The legendary producer and British DJ Erol Alkan – very exited at the idea of playing at Pantiero – should also create a buzz on the terrace, but it is especially the practical “newcomers” Naive New Beaters, Kap Bambino, Late of The Pier, Yo! Majesty, Kid Acne, The Chap or The Oscillation who will be followed and whose names will resonate with a whole other echo in the years to come, that’s for sure.
A 2009 line-up which will satisfy the “kids” as well as the more adult music lovers, but a line-up which still keeps back a few beautiful, big surprises to come…
